As Managing Director, North American Sales, you will be responsible leading a growing team of sales professionals in United States and Canada. We’re looking for a proven sales leader with experience in energy markets who enjoys a fast-paced environment with unlimited earning potential. Responsibilities include sales team leadership, strategic account management, and channel partner development.

We are looking for an energetic solutions-focused individual who will join the senior management team of an entrepreneurial company well positioned in a rapidly growing distributed energy industry. Our clients are among the largest global power consumers, producers, and distributors. The short to medium-term focus will be on the Eastern United States electricity markets (PJM, NYISO, MISO and NEISO) and Canada.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop/execute sales strategy to grow Rodan’s revenues across all lines of business in North America.
  • Establish annual business development budgets, sales targets, and strategic plans.
  • Actively identify and implement growth opportunities.
  • Develop new and iterate existing products by engaging with customers, with an eye on the competitive environment, market conditions and the ability to scale.
  • Serve as a member of the leadership team and provide input on overall business direction, foster a positive work culture, and strong collaboration with other functional leaders.
  • Continuous learning and thought leadership while participating in industry events and organizations.
  • Hire, coach and develop Rodan’s sales professions to be trusted advisors who are equipped to meet the present and future opportunities/challenges.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • 15+ years of successful sales leadership experience, having managed a team of sales professionals.
  • Demonstrated record of meeting and exceeding yearly sales targets.
  • Strong understanding of North American electricity markets and the energy services sector (specifically demand response, distributed energy resources, and software/energy as a service).
  • Post-secondary degree.
  • Ability to deliver on short-term targets, while implementing a long-range strategy and vision.
  • Powerful verbal and written communication skills utilizing various medium.
  • Excellent financial and analytical skills.
  • Product development leadership by developing scalable solutions and innovative business models.
  • Entrepreneurial approach to business development with a positive “let’s figure it out” attitude and a desire to succeed.
  • Strong C-Level presence, strategic acumen, consultative-selling skills and executive credibility.
  • Ability to travel throughout the US and Canada.
