Rodan Team presents EnergizeUkraine initiative atĀ PLMA – Private Label Manufacturers AssociationĀ members meeting at DISTRIBUTECH.
Tuesday February 7, 2023, San Diego, California,Ā Paul Grod, CEO andĀ Andre Sochaniwsky PMP C.Dir. CDĀ Sochaniwsky, Director Technology Services participated in the PLMA members meeting at the DISTRIBUTECH conference in San Diego. At the invitation of PLMAās Global Load Management team, Paul provided an update on the extent of destruction of Ukraineās energy infrastructure. He highlighted that over 40% of Ukraineās power grid has been decimated and continues to be attacked by Russian missiles. Ukraine needs high voltage transformers, generators, solar and battery systems to rebuild and keep the lights, water, heat and communications on during these cold winter months. Paul called upon the PLMA members to join the EnergizeUkraine coalition by providing equipment and funds to rebuild Ukraineās energy infrastructure. Average citizens are without electricity, water, heat and communication. The economy has been devastated. Among the most severely impacted are the elderly who are unable leave their cold, dark apartments as elevators are not operational. Ukraine now has received from its allies better anti-missile systems that are able to stop over 75% of the missiles but the destruction inflicted to date is severe.
Paul invited the members to join a Special Briefing: Update on Ukraine’s Electric Grid in the DISTRIBUTECH main hall on Wednesday February 8 from 3:15 PM – 3:45 PM at the Knowledge Hub: Renewables and Energy Storage (Booth: #1101). He will be joined by Andrii Nemyrovskyi, Special Envoy from Ukraineās UkrEnergo (state run power transmission company and grid operator) who travelled from Kyiv to seek support for Ukraine.
