The IESO’s York Region Non-Wires Alternatives Demonstration project has been selected for Electricity Canada’s Centre of Excellence Award.
This project aimed to discover the potential of new technologies and demonstrates the use of locally owned Distributed Energy Resources to meet Alectra Utilities’ electricity needs during peak periods.
Rodan Energy is pleased to have been a participant in this two-year demonstration project where project participants were able to reduce local peak demand by about 15 MW through market-based mechanisms.
