New York City said YES to the “Carbon Neutrality” initiative and a series of zoning changes aimed at achieving an 80% reduction in carbon emissions by 2050 was approved by the New York City Council in early December.
Mayor Eric Adams’ plan is to modernize the city’s zoning policies, eliminating barriers to rooftop solar, solar parking canopies, EV charging, and energy storage systems.
