MISSISSAUGA, Ontario – July 19, 2022: Rodan Energy Solutions, a leading North American provider of energy solutions, today announced that its Energent SCADA-as-a-Service (SCaaS) received a Top Product of the Year award at the annual Environment + Energy Leader Solution Summit. The program’s expert judges considered the Energent SCaaS to be a top example of the exemplary work being done today in the fields of energy and environmental management.
Rodan’s Energent Renewable + Energy Storage suite includes solutions to manage and monetize DERs, from microgrid controllers and energy optimizers to full DER turkey solutions. The award-winning application was Rodan’s contribution to Canada’s first carbon-neutral school project. Working alongside cleantech integrator Ameresco, Rodan’s Energent solution serves as key enabling technology for the John Paul II Secondary School microgrid project to maximize the school’s economic potential through continuous and real-time optimization of the solar panels and battery energy storage system.
One judge said of Rodan’s Energent solution: “This is a complete package that integrates the best efficiency measures for a facility with the generation, storage, and grid interactions that all facilities will need in the future.”
Another added, “The application of such a solution will reduce GHG emissions, decrease energy costs and help operators make informed decisions.”
