NOCO and Rodan Energy Solutions Announce Partnership to Offer Demand Response Services in New York State

PRINCETON, NJ., June 9, 2021: Rodan Energy Solutions USA announces an exciting new partnership with NOCO designed to identify enhanced energy savings for NOCO customers in Western and Central New York State. At the intersection of energy supply and energy savings, the joint NOCO-Rodan team will provide full-service supply and demand-side services along with a new demand response offering designed to provide energy savings to NOCO customers.

Rodan’s expertise in demand response, peak tracking and avoidance, and the optimization of distributed energy resources will provide New York State businesses with best-in-class service and multiple revenue streams created through demand response program stacking. Focusing on Western and Central New York, the partnership will enhance NOCO’s full-service energy offering by adding demand response to their existing portfolio of wholesale electric and natural gas services, distributed energy resource design and installation, LED lighting retrofit, utility bill management, and fuel services.

Demand response is a widely adopted demand-side management tool that local utilities and the New York Independent System Operator (NYISO) use to balance the electric grid. Demand response will play a critical role in New York State achieving its statutory emission mandates as outlined in the Climate Leadership and Community Protection Act (CLCPA). Rodan representatives will work with NOCO’s electric and sustainability divisions to promote and enroll commercial customers in demand response. NOCO will automate the process of demand-size market monitoring and enhanced forecasting by utilizing Rodan’s next-generation technology.

“By partnering with NOCO, Rodan is strengthening its position as a leading demand response provider in the New York State energy market,” said John Carroll, Managing Director of US Operations for Rodan Energy Solutions USA. “A demand response program such as this has never existed in New York State. So, we are launching an aggressive campaign to identify customers, identify savings values, and enroll customers as soon as possible.”

“NOCO is committed to providing a full suite of solutions to help customers manage their utility expenses. Demand response programs offer customers financial benefits while simultaneously improving the reliability of the grid,” said Paul Tyno, NOCO’s Assistant Vice President, Sustainability Technologies. “Rodan’s commitment to helping customers minimize energy costs, maximize efficiencies, and develop a sustainable energy future very much aligns with NOCO’s mission.”
